Meet Dr. Hunter L. Charvet

Dr. Hunter L. Charvet received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He then went on to graduate with his DDS degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1980. After graduating, he joined his father, Dr. Emile J. Charvet in private practice.

Each year, Dr. Hunter completes well over one hundred hours of advanced dental continuing education. He has completed extensive advanced training in the areas of Implant Dentistry and Endodontics. Dentistry is constantly advancing and continuing dental education allows him to stay on top of the latest dental techniques and technology, and provide our patients with the advanced care they deserve.

Dr. Hunter is a member in good standing in the New Orleans Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and American Dental Association.

Dr. Charvet has now earned his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and he is a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute.

Dr. Hunter and his wife have two sons, Hunter Jr. and Heath. In his free time, Dr. Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman. Off-shore fishing is his favorite pastime.

Meet Hunter L. Charvet Jr., DDS

Dr. Hunter L. Charvet Jr. followed in his father's footsteps, received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. He then attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he graduated with his DDS degree. During his freshman year at LSU School of Dentistry, he served as class vice president. After graduating in May of 2009, he joined his father in private practice.

Dr. Hunter Jr. is a member in good standing in the New Orleans Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is also a voting member of The New Orleans Dental Association House of Delegates

During school, Dr. Hunter Jr. was a volunteer at Camp Sunshine, a program for children with life-threatening illnesses. He is currently on the board of directors for the Swollfest Fishing Rodeo, a benefit for the American Diabetes Association.

Dr. Hunter Jr. and his wife Kristy have three happy boys: Hunter and twins Chandler and Carter. Like his father, Dr. Hunter Jr. is an avid outdoorsman with free diving being one of his favorite activities.
